What sets us apart

There are a lot of benefits to a small-town firm, but we think the biggest benefit is the personalized nature of the representation. Here, we believe in treating our clients like family. Whether that means accommodating a Saturday appointment from time to time, meeting you after a ball game to exchange paperwork or get signatures, or helping make connections to other needed professionals or services, we treat our clients the way that we would like to be treated. We’re willing and able to custom tailor the scope of representation based on need, budget, or any other consideration, and we’re always willing to work with you to make adjustments. Also, because we are a small staff and a very close-knit office, things don’t get lost in translation. There’s no playing phone tag, or wondering who is going to get your email. Everything is run directly to Attorney Robinson, and she makes it her mission to be responsive, professional, compassionate, and efficient. Because we know that your time is just as valuable as ours is, and we treat all our clients with respect.
Additionally, because Attorney Robinson has a wide range of experience, there are very few matters that cannot be handled in-house, so there are very few clients who are referred to other attorneys for additional matters. If there is a question that cannot be readily answered by our staff, Attorney Robinson has strong connections with the community and the local bar and is able to consult with other experts to ensure that the needs of each client are being met in the most effective and efficient way possible.

Estate Planning
There is very little more important than ensuring that the ones we love are taken care of in the event of our death or disability. Often, estate planning is considered to be for the elderly, and it can be, but it's much broader than that. Parents with young children can often benefit the most from estate planning. Even for older individuals, there are specific rules surrounding transfer of assets, planning for long-term, end of life care, and how to protect your assets in the most effective and ethical way forward. The time to plan is not when you need to have a plan, but years prior. Estate planning can include wills, trusts(both revocable and irrevocable), durable, medical, and financial power of attorney, and guardianships.
Family Law/Domestic Relations
The bread and butter of most solo practitioners is undoubtedly family law, which is a wide scope of practice. Family law includes most disputes between married individuals from dissolutions to divorces, custody disagreements/changes, annulments, etc. It can also include petitions for grandparent's rights. Attorney Robinson has experience in navigating all elements of family and domestic relations law and additionally often serves as a guardian ad litem in divorce cases representing the best interests of the involved minor children.
Probate
While estate planning is incredibly important before someone's death, the probate process often kicks in after. Executing an estate, filing a will with the Court, navigating when a loved one does not have a will, all the way to the settlement of an estate. Additionally, obtaining a guardianship over a loved one in a medical crisis, who is struggling with dementia/Alzheimer's or otherwise unable to care for themselves/make decisions for themselves is also adjudicated in the probate court. Attorney Robinson offers competent and compassionate guidance to families navigating all the complexities of probate.
